Jody Mortara
Jody began her career in the music world as a pianist and singer. Her first acting jobs were in the world of musical comedies and plays. Within a short time Jody began producing and acting in musicals and plays in San Franciso including the original play, “No More Pain”.
While in San Francisco Jody worked as a producer, casting director and actress in corporate videos and interactive videos for SEGA, INTEL, COMCAST, Crystal Dynamics, Trip Hawkins of Electronic Arts, Breene Kerr Productions, etc.
Since that time, she has acted in feature films, television and stage. She has a feature scheduled for release with Sony Pictures as well as two in preproduction. Jody has just shot two t.v. pilots as the producer and lead character and a third as a recurring role.
Jody’s producing credits also include the film, “Hunter’s Moon”.
She has arranged financing for a feature film, “After The Truth” where she is the Co-Producer, and Actress and is in the preproduction stages of a new film where she is raising the finances and will be acting as well.
Jody also acquired the funds for the ‘raise’ of a public film company (UNFC, United National Film Corporation) where she acted as COO for the film division.
With her previous casting/production company, Titus Productions (which was acquired by UNFC), she created and shot a soap opera and a sitcom. She Executive Produced and starred in both productions.
She just completed the Producing of eight television commercials where she also acted as casting director as well as acting in the one commercial that was picked to air on national TV.
Jody recently created and shot the sizzle reel with her company, Mortara/Long Productions, for a new political television show where she is the the Star and Producer of the series.
Jody just completed funding on a feature film where she is also one of the lead actors and is producing.
She is also working on a contemporary jazz c.d. of her original songs with producers Freddie Ravel (pianist/producer of the new Grammy award winning c.d. with George Benson and Al Jarreau) and Randy Emata. Jody performs with “The Continentials”.
